Difference Between Aluminum Alloy & Zinc Alloy

Difference Between Aluminum Alloy & Zinc Alloy

Aluminum alloy is a general term of aluminum-based alloys. The main aluminium alloy elements are copper, silicon, magnesium, zinc, manganese, secondary alloy elements are nickel, iron, titanium, chromium, lithium and so on.

Aluminum alloy density is low, but it’s high in strength, close to or better than high-quality steel. Aluminium alloy has good plasticity and can be processed into a variety of aluminum profiles, with excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Aluminium profiles are widely used in industry. The use of the quantity is second only to steels.

Aluminum alloy is divided into two categories: casting aluminum alloy, used in the cast state; deformed aluminum alloy, can withstand the pressure processing, mechanical properties higher than the cast state. Aluminium alloy can be processed into various forms and specifications. Aluminium profiles are mainly used in the manufacture of aviation equipment, daily necessities, building doors and windows and so on.

Zinc alloy is a zinc-based alloy that is composed of other elements. The main alloying elements are aluminum, copper, magnesium, cadmium, lead, titanium, etc. Zinc alloy has low melting point, good fluidity, easy fusion welding, brazing and plastic processing, corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, disability materials easy to recover and remelting, but low creep strength, prone to spontaneous combustion aging caused by dimensional change. Melt preparation, die casting or pressure processing. According to the manufacturing process can be divided into cast zinc alloy and deformed zinc alloy.

The main elements of zinc alloy are aluminum, copper and magnesium. According to the processing technology zinc alloy can be divided into two types of deformation alloy and cast zinc alloy. The casting zinc alloy has good fluidity and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for die casting instrument, automobile parts casing and so on.
